Falei deste produto nos meu último vídeo de compras e, tenho a dizer que cada vez mais o amo. Trata-se da sombra da Burberry nova em "nude". Isto é, basicamente, eu numa sombra. É um tom único e difícil de descrever que parece um toupeira mas tem brilhos verdes e que é simplesmente linda. Como o nome indica, pode ser usada seca ou molhada mas, para ser franca, ainda não a experimentei molhada, porque simplesmente não tenho por hábito usar as sombras molhadas.
O brilho dela é qualquer coisa e, o facto de ser multidimensional faz dela uma sombra que, mesmo aplicada sem esforço, produz resultados incríveis e parece que fizeram algo elaborado (o meu tipo de sombra favorito).
É cara, como todas as sombra da Burberry, mas vale o preço por ser tão versátil e francamente fácil de usar!
I've mentioned this product in my previous haul video, it's a new release by Burberry makeup and it's called wet & dry eyeshadow. I've bought the color "002 nude" which is the most interesting taupe I own. It's, as I've said, a taupe with an ever so subtle green shimmer. Gorgeous, easy, and a no-brainer. I haven't worn it wet yet, simply because I'm just not into it. If you're looking for a proper elegant shimmery eyeshadow, look no further because shimmer is not just for teenagers. It basically smokes itself and I doubt anyone can mess this one up! Expensive, but worth every cent, in my opinion.
O destaque da semana voltou em força e hoje com um produto muy amado há muito tempo: o Herôme Nail Hardener Extra Strong. A Herôme é uma marca holandesa de cuidados de unhas e cor também e comprei este endurecedor na Citypharma há dois anos, quando morava em França porque ouvi a Vic Ceridono uma vez a dizer que ele era genial. E se é... Ao contrário da maioria dos endurecedores de unhas que podemos usar debaixo do verniz, este tem um método um pouco diferente de aplicação que exige ligeiramente mais disciplina. Durante 15 dias, em ciclos de 3 dias, fazer o seguinte: 1º dia aplicar uma camada, 2º dia aplicar uma segunda camada, 3º dia remover. Eu às vezes consigo fazer isto durante os 15 dias, noutras vezes simplesmente descuido-me.
E a melhor parte de tudo isto? É que simplesmente resulta. Ao fim de uma semana as unhas estão mas fortes e já não descamam e tudo valeu a pena. É o melhor e mais eficiente endurecedor que já usei na vida e já pus algumas amigas a amá-lo também. Pode-se comprar aqui e envia para Portugal (acho que, de momento até estão com portes grátis!!).
The week's highlight is back and today I bring a much much loved product by myself: Herôme Nail Hardener Extra Stong. Herôme is a nail care Dutch brand and I came across this nail hardner because Vic Ceridono from the blog Dia de Beauté mentioned it en passent a few years back, and somehow it stuck with me. So much so that when I lived in France, I picked this up at Citypharma a couple of years ago. Unlike most nail hardeners, its application isn't just a layer before your nail polish. Actually you're meant to create a 3-day cycle for 15 days: 1st day you a apply first coat, 2nd day, another coat and 3rd day you remove the hardener and so on for 15 days. If I do this religiously? Meh, not really, I slack off sometimes, I have to admit... But the best part? It still bloody works!!! After a week your nails are stronger and have stoped peeling. It's simply the most efficient nail hardener I have ever encountered and I doubt I'll ever be without it! You can buy it here, from the website.

Como tal, estou em auto-contenção no que toca à compra de maquilhagem nos próximos tempos. Sérum hidratante com ácido hialurónico e niacinamida e tudo o que há de bom. Continuo sem perceber porque é que a Bioderma não considera relevante trazer para cá esta linha, até porque este sérum tem a melhor relação qualidade/preço que já vi num cuidado de hidratação. Já comprei e agora quero de novo porque está esgotado no cocooncenter e na farmácia a que fui em França, também…

Os coreanos são os reis. Se eles dizem que a cena é baba de caracol, adivinhem qual é o primeiro ingrediente? BABA DE CARACOL! Ao contrário de 90% dos creme que dizem ter baba de caracol que apenas apresentam pequenos vestígios em concentração inferior às impurezas, isto é o” the real deal”. E porque é que a baba de caracol é fixe na nossa cara? Porque é um potentíssimo anti-oxidante e regenerador. Preciso disto na minha vida, urgentemente.

Bioderma hydrabio sérum
I tried to buy this sérum from the cocooncenter.co.uk. Failed, sold out. Tried to buy it from a French pharmacy in France. Failed, also sold out. I now I want it even more (as one does) because it’s just one of the best, cheap hydrating face serums I have ever used. It has hyaluronic acid and niacinamid and I just don’t get it why Bioderma does not sell this whole line in Portugal, as it’s just plain awesome.

Korean people know their skincare. And when they say it has snail mucus, guess what the first ingredient is? SNAIL MUCUS! Unlike 90% of the creams and serums that claim to have it but in reality have such little concentration that it resembles homeopathy, this one is the real deal. And why, would you ask, the heck would I want that on my face? Because it’s a very powerful anti-oxidant and skin regenerator. I need this in my life. Urgently.

The high season of sun and sun spots has started and my sun spots were here even before the sun, so I want to get the serum in a special pack to use it in September because glycolic acid in the sun is not the best idea ever.

I’ve “wished” for the eye cream before but, as some people here told me that it’s actually a jelly and not a cream, I was discouraged as my eye area is super dry. However, the face cream, that I still want. Everyone raves about it, my friends say this is the best moisturizer they’ve ever used and your skin looks perfect. Hum YES!

My skin goes bananas in the sun. Like real bananas. I have scales and eczema all over my body and it’s just an itchy mess. For some reason I can’t phantom, this lotion is the one my skin adores. Probably because it’s ridiculously expensive for what it is and my skin just knows it and mocks me. I have so many other cheaper and better creams at home but noooo, it only wants this one.
A Caudalie relançou as suas máscaras há pouco tempo e, aproveitando o relançamento das que já existiam, juntou mais duas à sua panóplia. Esta Caudalie Glycolic Peel Mask* já existia na linha Vinoperfect (não faço ideia se terá sido reformulada ou não) e o seu target estava mais virado para a despigmentação. Na verdade, como o nome indica, esta é uma máscara de esfoliação cujos agente esfoliante é o ácido glicólico. A Caudalie também ressalva a presença da papaína (enzima presente na papaia que também tem efeito esfoliante) mas, por estar bem depois da fragrância (que no máximos será de 1%), quer dizer que a papaína é bem menos de 1%, por isso não creio que possa realmente ser considerada neste caso. Na verdade, o ácido glicólico chega e é mais que suficiente pois a máscara é excelente. Faz exactamente o que é suposto: esfolia e deixa a pele mais luminosa e bonita. Tem ainda na formulação alguns adjuvantes que ajudam a que a esfoliação não cause irritação.
Utiliza-se durante uns 15 minutos e a seguir remove-se com água morna. Simples e fácil de usar e com excelentes resultados, realmente não poderia pedir melhor. Na maioria das vezes, a seguir a esta máscara completo o tratamento com uma máscara hidratante pois esta não o é (nem é suposto ser) e a máscara hidratante é absorvida mais rapidamente.
Para quem tem pele baça, manchas e imperfeições ou pequenas rídulas (ou pequenas grandes rídulas = rugas), esta máscara precisa de fazer parte da vossa vida!
Recently Caudalie re-lauched their face masks and, ceasing the opportunity, they added two more to the line. This Caudalie Glycolic Peel Mask* already existed and it was part of the vinoperfect line (I don’t really know if the formula remais the same though…) and its target was towards pigmentation. As the name might suggest, this is a peeling mask with glycolic acid as a peeling agent. Caudalie’s marketing also highlights papain, which is an enzyme from papaya that gently exfoliates. However, I wouldn’t go as far as to mention papain as being “present” because its more like vestigial as it appears after the perfume which normally does not exceed 1%, which means that papain’s concentration is well below 1%. Still, I see no need for papain when you have glycolic acid, as it’s a much more effective exfoliating agent (although papain is more gentle) and the mask itself is amazing. It does exactly what it says on the tube: it exfoliates and leaves your skin dewy and pretty. The formulation also has some added calming agents to reduce irritation.
It is supposed to be used for 15 minutes and after that, washed-off with warm water. Simple and easy to use with excellent results, you can’t ask for better. Whenever I use it, I usually follow it by a moisture mask because this one is not (and it’s not intented to be) and I always notice that the hydrating mask is much more quickly absorbed.
For those of you that have spots, imperfections, dull skin, wrinkles (everyone?) you need this mask in your life.

Decidi começar aqui uma rúbrica para vos falar um pouco de pequenas marcas que vou descobrindo, umas mais e outras menos conhecidas porque simplesmente apraz-me mais ver o sucesso de alguém individual do que de uma enorme corporação.
Não há propriamente celebridades portuguesas no que toca ao mundo cosmético porque, simplesmente não só quase não existe formação acerca do tema, como a que existe é incompleta e apresenta sempre um certo desprezo em relação à estética per se, porque só abordando algo da forma mais desinteressante possível é que algo se torna científico (claro). Para além disso, os nossos cursos de estética em Portugal são inacreditáveis, pois em apenas poucos meses é suposto “cozinhar” um profissional de unhas, cabelos, maquilhagem, depilação, massagem, estética e sabe-se lá que mais. Noutros países, cada uma destas especializações é individual e leva anos, sendo considerado mesmo um curso superior, nalguns casos. No Reino Unido, por exemplo, o curso de facialista tem uma componente genial de anatomia e fisiologia e é um bacharelato.
Hoje venho-vos apresentar (quem já conhece e já experimentou, deixem as vossas impressões por favor!) uma facialista portuguesa. Não só facialista como cara da sua própria marca: Alexandra Soveral. Depois de ter tirado o curso de filosofia e arte francesa, Alexandra decidiu seguir o seu sonho de criar uma marca de cosméticos. Mas não uma marca qualquer, uma marca cujos produtos são feitos de matérias-primas orgânicas e não processadas (extraídas a frio sem solventes orgânicos).
Desde óleos a bálsamos, águas florais, hidratantes, velas e até perfumes, Alexandra pensou em tudo. Facialista de renome em Londres e com o seu próprio spa, Alexandra promete melhor a circulação cutânea efectuando uma drenagem linfática ao mesmo tempo.
Quanto a mim, gostava de experimentar muitos dos produtos que estão à venda no site da marca e no net-a-porter.
Para já, vou praticando a massagem que a Alexandra ensina no vídeo abaixo e que vos posso garantir é magnífica porque a fiz ontem e hoje acordei com uma pele bem mais elástica, apesar de só ter usado um óleo medíocre e de ter dormido o mesmo número de horas de sempre (poucas). Fico mesmo feliz por ver um nome português nas bocas do mundo cosmético, o que me inspira a seguir os meus próprios sonhos!

I’ve decided to create this rubric to share a bit about small bands that I sometimes discover, some more well-known, others ubber underground because it just makes my day to see na induvidual succeding, as big corporations do so no matter what do or don’t do.
There aren’t exactly Portuguese celebrities in the cosmetic world. Mainly because we just lack the right teaching right now in Portugal, as the little formation that exists is brutally incomplete and always has a certain disdain towards aesthetics per se, because it’s only serious business when you make it as uninteresting as you possibly can (not). Besides that, our esthetician courses in Portugal are just unbelievable: in a matter of months you are supposed to be proficient in nails, hair, make up, epilation and massage. In so many other countries, each of this areas requires specific and individual assessment and, in many cases it takes years to be proficient in one area alone, frequently it is actually a degree. In the UK, for example, the facialist course has a great anatomy and physiology component and it’s a bachelor degree.
Today I introduce you (to those who don’t know her, those who know the brand and have tried it, please leave some input, I’d love to know if it’s awesome) the Portuguese cosmetic celebrity: the facialist Alexandra Soveral. Alexandra is not only a renown facialist, she created her own cosmetic brand, with her own name. After graduating from a degree in philosophy and French arts, Alexandra decided to follow her childhood dream and create her own cosmetic line. But, it’s not a regular brand, it’s a very organic un-processed kind of cosmetic brand based on cold-press extracted essential oils.
From oils to balms to floral waters, candles and even perfume, Alexandra thought about everything. She has her own spa in London and her treatments promise to stimulate your skin’s blood flow while at the same time draining your lymph nodes.
As to myself, I’d like to try most of the products which you can find at the brand’s website and net-a-porter.
For now I’ll just practice Alexandra’s massage that she teaches in the video below and I can assure you that it works as I’ve tried it yesterday and today I woke up with the most amazing skin: more elastic and plump even if the oil I used was not the best (at all) and didn’t sleep as many hours as I wished (do I ever?). It makes me really happy to see a portuguese name in the cosmetic wall of fame, it inspires me to do so myself!
